FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When does the apple season begin and end?
The apple season usually begins the 3rd or 4th Saturday of August and goes through the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Our last day this year is Sunday, November 19th. During the apple season, Brightonwoods Orchard is open daily from 9am - 5pm.

Are you a "Pick Your Own" orchard?
No. Brightonwoods Orchard grows too many varieties and many older trees require a ladder for picking.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes, if on a leash. No dogs are allowed in any of the buildings. Please be sure to clean up after your pet.

Is there an entrance fee?
No!

Is there a picnic area?
Yes, picnic tables are scattered about the yard adjacent to the sales area.

What activities are there for children?
There is a two story treehouse, walking trails and lots of space for run run running! And the large leaf pile is always a favorite in the fall.

Are you organic?
No. We reduce our impact on the environment by using Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM is a method of managing insects, weeds and diseases to know more about what is happening in the orchard. Strategically placed rain and temperature gauges along with insect traps allow us to spray only when it is cost effective and environmentally sound.

Do you participate in Farmers' Markets?
Yes, please take a look at our Farmers' Market page to find the one closest to you.
